- About Us | OPUS Network
Meet the members of the OPUS Alien Abduction 501(c)3 orginization ABOUT US At OPUS, we welcome Experiencers of every kind of phenomena as well as their friends and loved ones, professional providers, and all interested parties who are committed to remaining open about these mysteries and to supporting the individuals who are courageous enough to acknowledge them. HISTORY & MISSION OPUS, the Organization for Paranormal Understanding and Support, is a not-for-profit organization created in 1994 to offer support and education to individuals having unusual, paranormal or anomalous personal experiences. Since that time, what began as a small group of dedicated individuals has grown into a network of professionals, and a thriving community of Experiencers, that is worldwide. We assist each Experiencer in their unique journey. Depending on the individual’s desires and needs, OPUS provides connections to fellow Experiencers, and to a growing array of professionals and partner organizations in a variety of fields who are experienced, open-minded, and most of all, supportive. Ultimately, we believe in the healing power of an environment in which Experiencers are heard, believed, validated and understood. Though the phenomena are incredible, we find the individuals who are capable of perceiving these things even more extraordinary. With each person who walks the challenging and ultimately rewarding path of integration, we believe the intra- and interpersonal methods with which humanity will move into the universe are being built. We exist to support Experiencers in this journey as, later, it is possible that they will support all of us in ours. - OPUS Support - Alien Abduction
To educate and support people having Alien Abduction and anomalous personal experiences. Request Support Services Experience Support The sometimes disturbing, difficult to believe or spiritual nature of anomalous experiences might lead an individual to seek professional help, but because these experiences often fall outside the realm of what is considered “normal”, there is often a lack of professionals willing or able to work with these issues. OPUS has recognized the need for a clearinghouse where an Experiencer can receive assistance in locating and choosing a professional who is knowledgeable about a particular experience in question. OPUS can refer the Experiencers to physicians, licensed mental health practitioners, consultants, investigators and alternative health assistants. OPUS also refers to support groups of all kinds where experiencers can share feelings and concerns without fear of ridicule or embarrassment, while learning to understand, bridge and integrate what happened to them into daily life. Recently, in addition to our face to face support group, OPUS has created an international “on-line” support group which can only be accessed by the members and is available 24/7. For UFO matters, OPUS networks with many like-minded groups and organizations such as Yvonne Smith and CERO (Close Encounter Research Organization), Dr. Leo Sprinkle and ACCET (Academy of Clinical Close Encounters Therapists, Inc), Barbara Lamb, MS, and previously with the late Dr. John Mack (JEMI) and Budd Hopkins (Intruder Foundation). For psychic issues, we refer to Loyd Auerbach of the Paranormal Network and for Kundalini, to the Kundalini Support Network and Kundalini Awakening Now. For spiritual emergencies, we refer to June Steiner PhD and the Spiritual Emergence Network. Experiencer Support Team (EST) If you would like to speak directly with someone about your contact or paranormal experiences, we can help you. The EST is a group of experienced, knowledgeable individuals who can offer free, confidential and non-judgmental assistance to experiencers. - PROVIDERS | OPUS Network
Alien Abduction Therapist and Providers in your area Extraordinary experiences require exceptional support Our global network of Providers share a common passion: supporting Experiencers through the unique turns of their extraordinary paths. WHAT IS OPUS? The Organization for Paranormal Understanding and Support (OPUS) was founded in the United States in 1994 in order to educate and support people having unusual or anomalous personal experiences. Such experiences may include extraordinary states of consciousness, spiritual or parapsychological phenomenon, close encounters with non-human entities, and / or UFO/UAP activity. Through our network, OPUS connects individuals with professionals in an array of mental and medical health fields who are willing and able to work with and/or believe in the nature of these events. Today, after more than twenty-five years of being a centralized connector and resource , OPUS continues to offer support for experiencers, their friends and family, and professional providers, worldwide. OPUS PROVIDER NETWORK A COMMUNITY OF PROFESSIONALS WHO SUPPORT EXPERIENCERS You would be joining an excellent organization that helps one educate, explore, and work through issues pertaining to paranormal events with people that are trustworthy, kind, and well trained. It is also a safe place to meet other like minded people with whom you can share your experiences, questions, and concerns. June Steiner, PhD, CHT OPUS Provider since 1996 In 1991, the Roper survey on “unusual personal experiences,” conducted by John Mack, M.D., Professor of Psychiatry at Harvard University, suggested that “hundreds of thousands, if not millions, of American men, women and children may have experienced UFO abductions, or abduction-related phenomena.” Today, more than thirty years later, the reports of paranormal, anomalous and extraterrestrial experiences continue to proliferate around the world, especially as government bodies and institutions work to remove the stigma that has long been associated with acknowledging the reality of these events. In this environment, we believe that the need to support Experiencers can only grow. As such, the team at OPUS works to find and screen qualified professionals and connect them to this growing group. Additionally, OPUS works to support our professionals - by facilitating connections and developing educational opportunities - so that Providers can draw upon the resources they need in order to offer quality care in a rapidly evolving environment. PROVIDER TESTIMONIALS "I am happy to be a part of the OPUS Provider Network for many years now for their part in providing outreach to those who are in need of support. Over the years, OPUS has referred clients to me who are seeking answers to their partial memories since childhood of possible UFO abduction. I encourage all providers to join the OPUS Network..." -Yvonne R. Smith, C.Ht, Yvonne Smith Hypnotherapist "I am an experiencer and never felt safe relating my story to other people. Given I had my experience at a young age, I lived most my life without the sort of release and comfort that comes from sharing difficult stories. That all changed when in my 40s, I shared my experience with a fellow provider. It was such a relief to finally say that something happened and though I don't understand it, I want to make peace with it. That's why I want to help others. [Applying to OPUS] was a very warm and natural process. I've felt incredibly supported and professionally respected in the process. For anyone considering supporting Experiencers and joining [OPUS] it is a worthy cause and an opportunity to serve a marginalized population." -Claude Robinson, Robinson Psychological Services APPLY NOW HOW IT WORKS The OPUS Provider Network consists of professionals who have completed the OPUS application process and who are interested and able to receive Experiencer referrals . - OPUS Pin - Alien Abduction
To educate and support people having Alien Abduction and anomalous personal experiences. Membership Pin Limited Edition Membership Pin The Organization for Paranormal Understanding and Support is proud to offer to the general public (for the first time) our limited edition Black & Gold Membership Pin. The sometimes disturbing nature of anomalous experiences might lead an individual to seek professional help, but because these experiences often fall outside the realm of what is considered “normal” there is sometimes a lack of professionals willing to work with these issues. OPUS has recognized the need for a clearinghouse where an experiencer can receive assistance in choosing a professional who is knowledgeable about a particular experience in question. When appropriate, OPUS refers experiencers to physicians, licensed mental health practitioners, consultants, investigators, and alternative assistance. OPUS also refers to support groups where experiencers can share feelings and concerns without fear of ridicule or embarrassment, while learning to accept and cope with what has happened and move towards a healthy way of dealing with it. In the event that a support group does not exist in an experiencer’s location, OPUS has established an “on line” support group that can be accessed by the members 24/7. OPUS is a non-profit tax-exempt corporation formed for the public good and is recognized by the I.R.S. under section 501© 3. Its activities are guided by an executive council, headed by June Steiner PhD., C.H.T., around which is created the larger network of volunteers, mental and medical practitioners, and other experts in various fields. So please join our team in spreading the word (and wearing your pin) that OPUS is here to provide help to those experiencing these anomalous events and we look forward to hearing from you and working with you in this important endeavor. OPUS Support Group Member since 2016 “Because of my being invited to this group and welcomed with wide, warm, open arms, I feel less lost…This group has been open to hearing my crazy ideas, my dreams, my thoughts, and my theories. They have helped me in making sense of it all. They gave substance to what I have wondered about all along….I come away less confused and not obsessing so much…I think most of all is the feeling of belonging. Knowing this group is here if need be, is a comfort. For, as many pointed out, there are few, if any, places to speak openly about this…The knowledge of this collective group is astonishing.” STACY OPUS Support Group Member since 2018 As an experiencer, I walk through life with a secret. Over the years the weight of this secret has become a heavy burden, one that needed to be shared. The timing for joining OPUS could not have been more perfect in my life. Within this group, I have found a place for connection - one of understanding and acceptance. I was free to be me, an experiencer. Here there is a common language that we speak and understand, it is a bond that connects us - a bond that one feels within a family. MR A. OPUS Support Group Member since 2018 I think this is a very special place, truly unique. OPUS has literally changed my life because over several years now, I’ve been able to come to terms with it all, as I continue to try to figure out what’s really going on…The privacy we have here to speak freely without ridicule make it possible to really find a solid footing, over time. ADAM OPUS Support Group Member since 2019 There are members from all over the world - South Africa, Australia, Canada, India. Sharing our experiences and talking things through without ridicule, is a unique and invaluable resource…We share photos and drawings and uncritically explore possibilities and commonalities. I can’t thank Les and the OPUS team enough for making this possible. Just being able to clearly talk about this high strangeness with others who are going through the same keeps me grounded.
